I've finally finished the interior on my 72 SSP. I changed the interior back to the original blue. The previous owner had died the interior black. I spent the summer doing the restoration. Completely removed everything from the inside and started from scratch. Now the car is sporting the original color combinations.

The first show was Saturday and the car took 1st in the category, I'll be honest, it was the only car in that category.

Does that still count???

black with blue you gotta love it very nice :headbang::headbang:

Factory black with blue int?
Very cool and unusual.

That is one beautiful interior. I can even detect "that new car smell" from here. :headbang:

Congrats on the 1P win, btw! A win is a win - and with this car, you probably scared off any potential competitors.

Thanks for the great comments.

It is a unusual color combo. I had a hard time convincing my wife and son that it was the way go. Once they seen the finished product they really like it. We also had some great comments during the last show.

I'm trying to do some research and find out how many cars where produced with this color scheme. If anyone can help with that type of search let me know.

I think the other cars pulled out after they realized they would be competing against you...that's one SWEET ride!

That interior is beautiful. Great work.

Your car is beautiful!!!
Do yourself a favor and correct the emblems on the exterior though.
You should have Satellite Sebring Plus on the 1/4's where your Sebring emblem is and a Satellite Sebring on the right side of the trunk lid.

Hey RJS - I do plan to relocate the "Satellite" badge from the front fender to the the rear in front of the rear tire. The emblems were that way when I purchased the car. That was one of the first things that I noticed was not correct. I'm a little worried about trying to remove them and damaging the paint or the emblem.

If you have the dimensions for the correct placement that would be great if you can send them to me. Maybe measure up from the side molding and back from the door opening. Moving the emblems is on my "to do" list.

Thanks to everyone else for all the great comments.

You did do a fantastic job on your car 43tutor! Really looks great...

i really like the color combo...interior came out flawless! I think a "win" is a "win"...lol every car show/cruise night i have gone to this summer, i have never seen a 71-72 at any of them!

I sold my car so can't measure for you.
I do have this which is a factory drawing but a bit hard to understand.

Nice. And with air grabber! But why does it say 440 on the fender?

I added the Air Grabber a piece at a time in 1979 from a local dealer.
In 1982 I added a strong 440 to the car.
