gonna buy a mighty demon carb but have a question they have an option for annular boosters or downleg boosters wich is better , for a street /strip application

Either should work OK but I'd consider the annular booster as it may atomize better. Also, the late model Holley 4180 series, which are found on the mid 80's 5.0 Mustangs have annular primary boosters and I'm sure that wasn't for looks. The old Autolite 4100's also have annular boosters and that goes back to the mid 60's or earlier. By the way, I'm running a 4180 on my 67 Ranchero with a 390 and it runs great. You can occasionally find them at pick n pull.

annular boosters are a bit more race oriented, but i have not seen them make any huge diference either way to tell you the truth.

if your engine produces low vacuum and maybe a single plane intake i'd do the annulars. if it's higher vacuum dual plane use the down legs,

I thought I read a while back demon had filed or was going to file for bankruptcy. Did that ever happen? Don't get me wrong, I have ever only heard good things about them from people who have used them...just would be careful buying from a company that may not be around much longer. Of course, I may be totally on crack about the bankruptcy thing....Just could have sworn I read that somewhere.

demon did go under, but holley bought them and re-started production.
