Post your 10 second combo's

Iam putting together a 69 rr daily driver stage 6 heads worked over by LA ROY eng. 30 ICON pistons steal crank 550 lift cam 2500 stall conv 391 gears 1.78 headers perfumer rpm intake 750 dp carb 11to 1 comp car comes in at 3800 don't know what it will run but would be happy if I get mid 11. Well happy for a day or two Steve

Mmmm, might need more converter (3500+), 2" primary, and 4.10 or deeper gears, and a diet for 10's. What cubic inch is it?:icon_confused:

Ya I here you but I just want a good fast street car mid 11 will be fun

Steve Good luck, Jim & Cody LaRoy, ala LaRoys Engines out of Challis Idaho :headbang: , will give you a great engine combo, if you listen & do what they say... You should be in the 11's pretty easily, you have a great base, maybe add either S/S springs & adj. pinion snubber or Calvert/CalTracs could get there with decent traction & properly tuned engine/chassis & tire/Converter {maybe more converter too, 2500 is kind of low stall speed for any 10 or 11 second car, 3500-3800 would work much better}... The intake & carburetor combo maybe could also be improved some also, squirter's accel.pumps cams air bleed, metering blocks, jet extensions on the rear, trim air horn, etc. lots of places/part to tune/tinker with... Take weight out of the car where ever you can, power to weight ratio is the whole deal sometimes, especially with these heavy cars, maybe move the battery to the pass. side rear trunk, add some adjustable, front & rear drag shocks, larger sending unit 3/8" min. & fuel lines 3/8"/or #6AN min, adequate fuel pump, that will work fine on the street or track, help to achieve the 11 second ET goals....

Sounds impressive, 2800lbs is freaken' light as hell for any 68 Charger, even if it had a full chrome moly tube chassis, how do you like the Magnum Force tubular K-member & 4 link set up ??, maybe if you can row them 4 gears well enough, who knows what it can run, if you can get it hooked that is...LOL..., the 3.55:1 gears are a little tall for great 60ft performance or overall ET, but great for the street or MPH thou, I've seen much heavier cars similar that run high 9's to low 10's with a 500ci & less suspension mods & that 505ci/4.25" stroker will help, I'm sure it's a torque monster... are those 27" tall 305's, Drag radials or slicks ?? if not she will be a tire roaster, I'm sure... Good luck...

yeh i am really digging the magnumforce suspension, looks great as well, the 27" 305's are street/strip tires, like i said the
car is not yet complete. only things i am waiting on is to put the engine back together which got back from machining last week and the new wheels to come from the states, but i do have pics of the car before and after the suspension mods etc.

My car is another A body but with me in it it might as well be a B-body.lol :laughing1:
My car is a all steel 1973 dodge dart that weighs 3520 with me in it. heck my old 65 hard top Plymouth Belv II with a 10 point cage only weighed 3460 with me in it.I have not installed a cage my my dart yet. any way here is all my info

1973 Dodge dart that is race on 93 pump gas and will be on the street next year

1973 0.030 over 440

wisco pro-true flat top pistons, about 0.006 in the hole

Compression is around 10.9-11.1

felpro pT 8519 head gaskets

cranking compression is 184 psi

Eagle H-beam rods

Stock stroke steel crank

Comp solid roller 264 at 0.050 and 595 lift/ 634 with the 1.6 roller rockers

Crane 1.6 roller rockers

Manton push rods

Mostly out of the standard Indy EZ heads with some very mild bowl porting, soposed to flow around 310-315 at 600 lift

wieand tunnel ram

2 650 Holley Dp converted to 750 with pro form main body's

TTI 2x3-1/2 headers

727 trans with a bunch of CRT parts etc

dynamtic 9.5 4200-4400 stall

8-3/4 742 case with 4.30 gears

M/T 275/60/15 ET Drag radials

With my friend driving the dart here is my best time. but i think there is a lot more in the car. because i have not got a chance to really do any engine etc tuning on the car. OK here goes

60 foot 1.48
1/8 mile 6.70
1/8 mph 101.90
1000 foot 8.74
1000 mph 115.60
1/4 mile 10.49
1/4 mile 124.56

for got to add the carbs are jetted at 72/84 with 6.5 power valves in the front and 36 degrees total timing. i think i can get more top end by adding more jet, but did not have enough jets on me to try it. so what do you guys think?? also my goal in the next couple of years is to get back into my dream car. A 1963 dodge. Thanks Mopar65:headbang:

Sounds alot like my engine!
I have the MP 590 cam with 1.6 rockers, and a bit more compression with domed pistons, my heads are pretty close to yours,,, they are the Victor heads....
I however chose the Victor intake and single 850 Holley DP. I would love to get a dual 4 setup that is a medium rise intake and without the damn dual plane configuration... Can't seem to find anything like that though....
Chevy has street tunnel ram dual quad setup... Would be nice to find something like that for an RB engine! I dont want it to be higher than my Hemi scoop like a full out Tunnel ram would...
Good numbers you got there!!!!:headbang:

Mopar65 the 73 Dart 440 engine combo sounds great, any photos of the car &/or engine or at the track ??

Well my cam is so posed to be a roller version of the mopar 590 solid cam. I would like to try a edelbrock super victor intake and a Holley 1050 dominator. But I spent all the money i had getting the tunnelram all set up and working. another thing i don't like about using the tunnel-ram is you have to run such a tall hood scoop on it.best of luck to you on your nice car. I would love to trade my dart for a early body again.Mopar65
