Yes it will be slow moving at first get more done when the weather turns. Thanks for the compliment on the car. I have decided to epoxy prime then urethane paint on suspension parts pics will come as progress continues

Keep the updates coming for your car. I was looking at buying that car back in January. I had several conversations with the previous owner. I was very interested in that car since it was an SSP with a 4 speed. Instead I purchased a 72 SSP from Alabama. I'm glad to see that your car is making progress. If I remember correctly that car was originally gold and black???

As updates come I will add them car was originally gold with gold interior

Well I changed my mind I believe I am going to have suspension and steering parts powder coated. Has anyone went this route pros and cons thanks everyone

I had my rear axel, housing, bumper brackets, K-member, snubber, and alot of the suspension powder coated. You might have to knock it off of the holes for like ball joints, etc but I'm happy with it and it will last.

I have powder coated the rear end housing and K member on both my 71 Charger and 70 Duster projects. No regrets as they look great! Just make sure that the powder coaters are familiar with auto parts. Then they will make sure to mask off areas that need to be protected and it will save you some time when it comes to reassembly.

quick ? my body has been completly blasted and epoxy primed would it hurt to kepp it outside under a tarp. I am in cleveland Ohio

I would think it would last the winter without problems, I just never trusted primer and moisture that collects under tarps but that epoxy is pretty good stuff. Cant wait to see you back on this, it sure was in good shape for a car that old but then i remember where it came from. Good luck on it..

ahmincha, my shop is in northwest Tennessee -- not too far from Ohio -- and it's called Phoenix Specialty Coatings. ("Phoenix Powder Coating" is in New Jersey and is not affiliated with my shop in any way.)

Anyone know how i can get the roof supports to actually support the roof[/QUOTE

I know this is kind of an older post, but if you’re still wondering how to fix this here you go.

The way I fixed my roof was I found a 2x4 that fit perfect from the floor to the roof. Then I bought this stuff called Lord Fusor 108.It a two part epoxy glue that you could weld ¼’s on with not actually welding with heat. The only thing is you need the two part cork gun. I then squeezed the stuff into the roof structure, and then wedged the 2x4 to hold it up. The Fusor dries quickly, but I left it there for three hours.

That car has the rear sway bar brackets I can't find.Make sure you don't loss them.Good luck with the car.

Thank you Billfury yes its a older post but of coarse I have not started on car yet hopefully soon
