Hi Mopars !

How much backspacing for a 15x8 rim to have sufficient clearance to avoid rubbing ?
I go for the Magnum 500 - but I see they have different backspacing depending on the product of company

Do not do what I did.I went with 15x8 with a 4 1/2 '' back space and the wheel weights hit the upper control arm ball joint area and got knocked off.Very little clearance.4 1/4 would and has worked better.Yeah, could use tape weights but never got the balance right.ARGH!!

'69 Roadrunner......Have 15" X 7" up front with 3.75" backspacing. Rear is 15" x 8" with 4.5" backspacing, no issues with either.

good luck

Thanks man! Spent days trying to decide on rims. Real glad I went Black.

BTW tire size in the back is 275-60-15. Pretty sure that will tuck in your Charger's wheel well with the right back spacing Kenneth

I have had 225/70s on stock 15x7" wheels with 4.25" BS in front of my 68 Satellite. The only time I got into trouble with tire clearance in front was with a 235/75 on an aftermarket 15" wheel with small back spacing, something like 3-3.5". The tire was rubbing against the front lower corner of the front wheel well opening when turning. Also, the power steering box did not like the friction with low speed turning... :)
