So i found an oversight today on my Roadrunner that i specifically asked the body shop to fix, well, here is the back story.
On thing i wanted replaced on my RR were both trunk extension end caps. Well, back in November, i went to see the car before it went to final paint, and i guess i should have checked or inspected the car more closely, but i was so geeked up to see her, i didn’t look at every detail. So, he gave me back the sheet metal for the end caps, said they were in good shape.
Well today, i was working on the rear brakes and had the rear wheels off, and noticed that the end caps on both sides appeared to have a coating of stuff on them, but after further inspection, and just a poke with the finger nail, it was rust! After grinding off the suspect area, i found that both sides are completely rusted and were never fixed.
So, i called the body shop to discuss this problem, and basically he said that he was not going to fix it unless i paid him more money, then proceeded to get sideways with me and that i was the pickiest ******** that has ever been in his shop as he claims and nobody has ever complained about his work, even those that have had 60K of work done. Well, i certainly didnt pay 60K, but was well north of 12K!!!! Well, this pissed me off and i fired him and told him to bring back some other stuff he still had, and i would go find someone that could fix it properly.
So, was i justified in calling him out to fix this at no additional cost?
