Big thanks to Roger Roadrunnerman and Will Propwash.
Roger for selling me a nice car and being more than honest can be... LOL real good people.

But it wouldnt have happened if not for Will. I respect Will's opinions as he always seemed to be very knowedgable but wise as well and very well grounded with a sense of compassion for people. So when he said I could trust Roger thats all I needed to know.

Contacted him ( Roger)about his ( now my car) and we worked out a great deal like gentlemen. The person who hauled my car was new on Uship but to be 100% honest I figured I could trust him as he lived 10 miles from Roger. NKetelsen is his name and I would recommend him to anyone.

I'm proud to have met these guys, only hope one day we get to have a beer and a steak on my treat

Thanks for the kind words Chris, I appreciate it buddy. Means a lot. I don't ever expect thanks or praise for helping someone out, lending advice or just tossing in my 2 cents. Just like a lot of other guys here, I was brought up to help someone out when you can. It's been rewarding to know where you started, what your goals were/are and now to see you with your own '69 Roadrunner, just like you wanted. Pretty neat in my book. It's also rewarding to see that car coming from such a great guy such as Roger. With the rougher road he's been going down starting to smooth out a bit, it's also rewarding to see him finding some time to enjoy with his bird. It goes to show if you stick with your goals, keep your chin up and put in all the hard work, you can do anything you want. Again, glad it worked out well for the both of you and with out a doubt i'll take you up on a couple cold brews and a big old steak down the road..:tiphat:

Lots of good folks here for sure. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.....no wait........that's just gas.

we have some great people here on FBBO...

Chris, just saw this post. It was a hard decision for me to decide to sell the RR. I had talked it over with my wife several times, and talked with a close friend of mine a few times about it also. When I first bought the car, I knew there was something special about it. I had decided then that this car was going to be my show car. Saw another one just like it at a car show(same color exterior/interior). Loved it. Then I got to thinking about how long it would be before I could get the opportunity to work on the car and put it in showroom condition. I have several other cars that are on the waitng list to get brought back. Like others here, i'm not a spring chicken anymore. Others here have known the "challenges" that have been thrown my way. Which is no different then the challenges others here have as well. My decision was based on realizing that I have neither the resources or time to give this car the time and care it truly deserves. When you told me what you were going to do with it, I knew it was going to the right person to do it right. Will was correct that now I can concentrate on working on my other "bird" without having to worry about when I will get the chance to work on the one you just bought.
As far as being honest about the shape of the car, you can blame my parents for that for raising me to know the difference between right/wrong and to be honest with people you talk to so they can never call you a liar. My wife started laughing when I read her what you said when the car arrived(of course she thinks most of us on here are nuttier than a fruitcake). I was one of those guys that said someday i'm going to fix it up, then realized what happens if i'm not around to do that. Don't worry guys, i'm not planning on taking a boat ride across the river Styx anytime soon (I hope). So with that being said Chris, do the car as it deserves with my blessings(you don't really need it though). My wife and I will both be following your rebuild/restore and I won't even be thinking I could've done that. We will both know that we sold the car to one helluva person that loves these cars just as much as we do.

There are a great many good folks here, some ive worked with buying and selling and ive never had a problem with any, i agree with you 99, Roger and Will are two of a long list of good guys we have here at the forum to work and talk with, every car site should be as good at working together for the good of all members... :icon_pidu:

What car did you buy?
99ss (chris) bought a 69 RR I had for sale. You can see his thread in the members project(Ivy Green 69 Roadrunner). It might be a little bit for pictures though, we'll have to wait for Chris to come down from the clouds.
