First of all I want to give thanks to Roger ( Roadrunnerman) for such a great deal on a beautiful car. The 2 tone tan interior really makes this car special IMHO I cant wait to bring her back to life. I could buff 70% of this car and the paint would be show room. I'm almost tempted to just blend ( if I could do a good job at it..LOL) the old with the new. Its a 1000 times better than my last car I almost wanted to sleep in the back seat last night. Pics to follow, camera batt is dead

Chris, you are more than welcome and I can't tell you enough thank you for buying it. I'm glad you are happy with it. This will be a special resto for me to follow(for obvious reasons). Did your wife help you unload everything or did you act like that Goleb character from Lord of the Rings and start saying "MY PRECIOUS"

Hahahahahaha.... well after we rolled it out of the trailer it was instant " my precious"..LOL
My son helped my put the parts away and I was about as giddy as school boy who just got his first kiss...LOL.. been floating on air ever since. The car really is awesome. Not really that much sheet metal work to do and its ready for paint. I'm going to start ordering the some stuff today. I think you right too, that one quarter can be patched and the other just needs a skin.
Driver floor and a couple small other areas and its done. Going to try and figure out how to take it off the frame so I can spiff everything up down there. I'm really excited about this one.

Frame??? Now you have my attention!!

Good to see a thread started on your own '69 Roadrunner and she made it to you safe and sound. Looking forward to seeing the adventure begin. Are you talking about taking off the K-frame Chris, or the actual frame structure?

K frame I guess would be the only thing I can do ... right? havent been under it I have no idea what I am doing.....LOL Just want to give it the best I can

Cool beans, cant wait for pics and a new thread to follow.

Yeah - we will need some pics. Sounds like a nice car. Get that battery charged up.

we need many pics...especially of a GREEN road runner!:happy1::happy1::happy1:

Been raining ever since I got her home...LOL Dont want to uncover it, I dont think its seen water in 20 years.
Snapped these real quick before I unloaded all the goodies from it and get it cleaned up a bit.

I'll be taking more detailed pics of course but look at the package tray area.. its pristine. Few patches and some 1/4 skins and she is ready to fly :)

disclaimer:
havent taken down one set of lights...LOL.. keeps raining when I have time to do it and I dont want to put them away wet.

Net is a home mades batting cage I set up for my kid to practice his swing during the winter layoff.. he loves baseball.. was a cheap net from ebag.. drapped it off the garage door and weight the bottom with a 2x4 .. works great for tee work and soft pitch with wiffle balls and tennis balls. It will stop the baseball to but we dont press our luck..LOL

neighbor put of for sale sign after seeing my next projetc get dropped off...LOL j/k

gotta be a great feeling having it home! keep the updates comming! :happy1:

Nice to see it sitting in your driveway. BTW, those moving blankets are real nice to use if you got to lay down and do work underneath.

I was going to try and send those back to ya.. they cant be cheap
