My Bee will be getting color real soon. Below are pieces which I need to know whether they get Color, black or natural cast color.
Please feel free to copy the format and paste in your response (what gets what) Answers: Color, Black or Natural cast color
I think I know the answers to most of these. Just checking myself.

1) Hood hinges and Spring -
2) Hood catch and mechanism -
3a) Hood lever to release-
3) Lower radiator protective tray/shield -
4) Trunk lid springs - Criss cross behind seat -
5) Trunk hinges -
6) Door hinges -
7) Trim piece bottom front of hood -
8) T section for hood catch next to radiator support (not the technical name) -

Thanks
Rusty

1) Hood hinges and Spring - painted body color
2) Hood catch and mechanism - black phosphate not paint
3a) Hood lever to release- black phosphate
3) Lower radiator protective tray/shield - semi-gloss black
4) Trunk lid springs - Criss cross behind seat - poor excuse of body paint from the factory
5) Trunk hinges - body paint
6) Door hinges - body paint, after installation; when I took mine off there was no paint behind them.
7) Trim piece bottom front of hood - not sure what you are talking about here?
8) T section for hood catch next to radiator support (not the technical name) - body paint

I will take a picture tonight and post. Its like a lip for the front for the hood (I think)

If it's sheet metal and you can readily see it it's probably body color. I don't have a Bee I've a RR so I'm going off that but all the comments I made would be for both cars.

3) Lower radiator protective tray/shield

If you are referring to the horizontal sheet of metal at the bottom of the radiator support on the front side, it should be body color...it was/ is on my `66 anyway.

Front lower lip of hood that you are referring to should be "Body Color".

Lower radiator splash/rock shield is black as Eagleone stated, not body color on a '69 Bee. It might be body color on other cars, but NOT on a '69 Bee.

Here is the radiator splash shield. Mine has been stripped and not repainted yet.

The pieces in the photo's are exactly the pieces I was referring to. Protective tray - Black... Hood lips,, Body color.

Thanks a million!

I picked up my scoops today. The painter painted them Satin black. They look a little too glossy to me.
Thoughts?

Sorry, can't help you with the scoops. Mine are body color since it is an early build '69. I have heard the '69 Bees with the black scoops were part of a "Spring Special" package and were of course built in early '69, March or April I think. I don't remember the sales code for the Spring Special either and don't have any of my reference materials with me to look it up for you.

V21 Performance hood treatment (Scoope painted black) - this came from Andy440 owner/operatoer of the 69 Superbee registry of America.
Does that sound right?
