That is one reason why I didn't use the set up as indicated in that picture. However, the upper beam could take a LOT of stress off the body. But, I basically extend the frame rails out to a T Bar, and if the car is balanced correctly little force is focused in any one area of the car, rotisserie, and bracing.

I'm not sure who the owner is, but, he's very interested in where his car is at all times; which I don't blame him! The owner puts the heat on the builder (www.paintshop101.com) who in turn is showing interest on when the car comes back!

Is that an -actual- 'Cuda model , or is it a lesser-seen , rarely restored as original , Barracuda or Gran Coupe ( BH27 & BP27 , respectively ) .

Ostensibly , there's no v.i.n. on the car's shell ( other than year , plant and sequence number ) ; I'm just wondering if you're aware of its model / trim origins .

Not sure, good questions, I'm vaguely interested b/c I'm an old (and new) MOPAR nut, but, it's not my car! All it is to me is another gem to save, and some ka-ching ka-ching ka-ching in my bank! All the tags were gone when I got it, but, when I uncover the VIN numbers on the radiator support (they're caked in under paint right now) I can post 'em for all to see.

I almost finished the car today, just an inner front fender outer section to do and some touch up here and there, but, what's interesting is there is no VIN on the Radiator Support, nor did I detect any numbers under where the rubberstrip is for the deck lid. Did E Bodies have these numbers elsewhere on the chassis?

Just a FYI; entire car Media Blasted in 8 hrs of blast time (not including sweep up/clean up time). I've heard horror stories of guys spending that many hours with sanding discs or whatever on just a hood or fender! Wow, wish you all had 'me' close by!

Donny, that is a completely different looking car once you got the paint off. You're right, I do wish there was someone like you close by. We do have someone just outside of town, but doesn't have near the diversity of materials that you use. I think all he uses is sand. If I've learned anything from you is that sand is good but also bad at the same time.

This car needed almost all its metal replaced. Its a convertible and the parts for it are unique. It also needed wheelhouses, and, they are different too, but, they changed everything out on this car. I will have new current pics of this car when I take the 69 rr back in a few days, and put the pics here of this car.

As much as I dig 'Cudas, I still can't believe the lengths and amounts of money people will go to to restore them. I'm glad that's not your car, that frame looks like it will crumble to the touch in places. Makes me appreciate my Mopar that much more.

I went and delivered the roadrunner, and had my Blackberry Tablet in hand to take some pictures of this car, but, its gone, over to reassembly! Here's a Fender for this car. It looks Blue in the picture, but, to the eye, it looks Purple! Here's a few pics of the surroundings too.

One could not imagine the amount of money that is going to take to restore this car to new. I alone think I am nuts some times for doing mine but this one has to be up there in cost.

I thought I slipped into the alternate FRINGE universe as soon as I snapped the pic, and it came out Blue! It's friggin' Purple, or, some sort of purple! I think it changes color in different lighting. My tablet doesn't have a flash (phone does), but I'll be taking pics of this car later this week as I'm headed over there to pick up a 69 Mustang.
