Temperature Sending unit location

Hello -

I need some help finding the location of the temperature sending unit on my 76 Cordoba. It is a 400 ci engine. I am having issues with my temp gauge and I want to see if this might be the source of the problem.

Any help is appreciated.

the temp sending unit will be screwed into one of the plugs on the waterpump, passenger side usually. PIC attached.

Thanks for your help! It was the temp sending unit. My Temperature gauge is working now!
