I don't know what to expect this being my first time, is there some must see things, that I don't want to miss? Is there good deals on rims and tires or are there just vendors trying to make a killing, at out expense. Will there be good advice to be had on back spacing etc, I maybe looking for drip rail chrome if price is right, also floor matts and more trinkets if price was right , will all this stuff be there?? What happens after show I heard there maybe a cruse drive some where?? Any info before I get there would be helpful? Staying in Mechanicsburg about 23 miles away, any thing going on in this town?

The vendors there are like anywhere else, some are good and some are not. If you are looking for something go early, there will be a lot of guys there looking to spend money and the good deals go fast. Also its cooler in the morning. By 9 a.m. last year the heat was unbearable. (still a great weekend). Things to bring- water and cash!

You can bring your cooler in, no glass, Beer OK! If you got a wagon or hand truck, bring it. Bring your own food if you like, they have lots of food stands all around the fairgrounds and under the grandstand. I always hit the food vendors located outside the grounds at the lower end of the car corral area. The little trailer on the right has some great hot sausage for about 1/2 of what they charge inside. If you are driving a Mopar the best deal is to enter it on the showfield, they have a class for everything. For the $55 entry fee you get admission for 2, all 4 days, and park your car/truck right on the fairground. Easy access to your cooler and drop off parts. You will pay at least $10 a day to park outside the grounds. Don't forget your sunblock and wide brim hat!

yes, sun block and hat. and be prepared for a hell of a lot of walking in some hot sticky weather. huge fairground normally packed to the gills

Sunblock, after one day I felt like I was on fire. Thanx for reminding me.

Wide-brim hat, sunblock, loose clothing, and last but certainly not least... COMFORTABLE SHOES/SNEAKERS you legs will thank you

Weather always sucks. Worse than Canada. I won't be there. I'll be in 15% humidity triple digit (road speed) desert circumstances.

Get yourself a us bank account at your home back, transfer funds into it,then draw out what you think you need in us fund( this way you get it at par). Take cash. Lots of vendors what cash so they don't have to pay PA tax, make a list what you need, call those vendors and pre order, spend 1,st day looking for the hard to find stuff, 2,nd day pick up your other orders

Sounds good I think I have to change banks I am at CIBC , I think TD is doing what you are talking about,I have been looking into it. As far as parts I am still new to this hobby, not sure what will fit ,and what won't, will be looking at rims and tires combo, hoping the people we are going with will help in back spacing etc but nervous about getting warped rims and not finding out until you get home. Anyway I will be doing a lot of looking with very little cash? Thanks for the advice

Do people display their onsite handles(names) on their cars so we can connect a face to the name when we get there?
I am coming Wednesday night, so will be there from Thursday till Sunday, may leave early Sunday, long drive home, my brother has to work Monday.

I'll be there Thursday through Sunday. I don't spend a lot of time at my car but here is what I'm bringing............

carlisle is a great show...the car coral is getting less populated than 5 years ago and the weather is mostly hot and every now or then it rains like crazy.but if you want parts...want to handle/see them before buying..and know what the going prices are...then carlisle is the place...been going for over 25 years...and will be there again this year

Ill be there on Friday, have to work Sat Sun.last year was my first and the temp was hot and I got a sunburned head, but gotta say the best place to find good deals,I picked up a clutch fan an the guy said 10 bucks,I dont want to take this stuff back home was his reason for the cheap price,Problem was I didnt know the size I needed and got a 20" fan when I needed a 18".found a glove box light lens that I couldnt find any where for $1.50.If you are a true Mopar fan this is something you can go to every year and not be bored.just my 2 cents.

We are there all week. Tues-Sunday. 4000 mile trip I milk it for all I can. It is an awesome show and swap. Very well ran. Great people. Weather is hit or miss just like any outdoor show in the country.
Like stated before, bring water, hats, shoes and plan on spending 2-3 days.
