shocks do not solve rubbing problems unless you go air.where are the tires rubbing?

If they are rubbing then something isn't right...either the wheels or tires are to wide or your rear springs are shot. Air shocks or helper springs are just a band aid.

What part of the tire is rubbing? I've got 255/70/15 on my coronet and they don't rub.. I did put air shocks on just to raise it up a little, maybe 1 inch. But even before I put the shocks on they didn't rub. Check your wheel backspacing.

TOOK TIRES OFF MEASURED WHEELWELL FOUND NOT(dEPTH) SAME IN THREE DIFFERENT POINTS SO GOT TO PUSH SOME METAL ISN'T PUTTING CARS BACK ON THE ROAD FUN

My 67 GTS has pretty tight wheel wells, but accommodates Vintiques 15 inch Magnum 500's with 235/60 tires just fine. I bought it with 8 inch Torquethrust wheels with the same tires and they barely rubbed the inside edge of the wheel opening. Both had backspace of 4-4 1/2 inches. You have to have a strange offset to have rubbing at the wheel opening and even more bizarre issues if you have rubbing against the wheel house with that size tire.
