all the black mixes well with the color of the car, prob paint the grey on the wheels black this spring, i think a black vinyl top would look awesome on it also

Love that scoop! Id like to find one the same size and design but about 1/2 as high.. I keep thinking it would look good on my Ram.. Everyone says get the Super Bee ones but i like yours better.. Good work your doing for sure! How wide is that scoop if i can ask?

not to bad for my first time ever rebuilding a set of heads..i did everything myself from start to finish..it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be to do them..having access to all the tools and machines to do it makes it nice and helped me save some money, i spent about 40 bucks total on rebuilding the heads, fig ill use these till next year and then buy some nice aluminum heads

outside body wise im almost done with it..just a few lil things to paint and cleanup, inside wise im gonna leave it alone for now..i would like to convert to floor shift with console and bucket seats down the road..im just ready to enjoy it till fall..iv driven it about 3-4 times since i got it..the 440/727 i bought is at a stand still..the trans is good to go i just need a torque converter, flywheel and prob new linkage..the engines been at the machine shop since late November early December and they still haven't touched it..kinda disappointing too see it sitting in the corner..im gonna build the engine i just need someone to bore it and get the block and crank prepped and ready..

i was at the salvage yard a few days ago and they just brought in a 2006-07 Chrysler 300 with a low mileage 5.7L hemi..it got hit in the rear drivers door and it was junked..i can get the whole car for $2,000..u can start the car up and lot drive it..how hard would a 5.7 hemi be to put in my belvy? i know they make ways to mount a 727 to the hemi now, it would be pretty awesome to have a modern hemi in it..cost wise it wouldnt be much difference going that way than the 440,,just dont wanna get in over my head..

agreed. and old mopars with moderen engines don't do a thing for me. but as always, do what makes YOU happy!

i wanna stay with a 383 or 440, but its getting hard to find one worth buying..i have the 1973 440 already but no progress on it..u know any good shops over your way basketcase? if i could get a 6.1 hemi out of a srt8 i wouldn't hesitate..never dealt with the 5.7 though i fig there were small blocks..the 6.1 is a 392 i think..all i need for my 440 is bigger 30 over pistons, cam and lifters..i got the rest..maby even some nice heads if the price is right..also need a reverse valve body and converter for my 727..the shop the 440 is at in ohio is the only one i know of thats good..looking like its time to go get my engine and take it somewere else..the plan was to have the engine done and in the car back in april-may and have it ready for summer

i believe the 6.1 is a 372 425hp and the 6.4 is the 392 470hp
i might know where a 6.1 hemi with 4k miles on it for sale. just throwing it out there.
