The dust cap on my left front wheel keeps coming off. I have to tap it on so it does not appear loose. Not sure how to fix this.

Did it ever fit tight? You have to tap them into the hole pretty hard when they are new.

Do it right and buy a new cap.

Take some needle nose pliers and go around the lip that fits inside the drum or disc, make some ripples, then tap it back on. RTV, is a rubber like substance that will seal leaks, hold parts in place, and do all sorts of **** you didn't think possible.

Just realized that the cup isn't deep enough. It's rubbing on the axle and that's why I can't get it completely on. Need a deeper cup. Maybe a C. :toothy12:

Did you buy 2? Are they the same? If so, how did the other side fit?

Don't know. The caps came with the disc brake kit I installed. Installed disc brakes two years ago and only having problems with the one cap now.

Sounds like an easy fix. Just but another one. Try contacting the store you bought your disc brake kit from and they may just send you one if you pay shipping.

Something else that will make them fall off is incorrectly adjusted wheel bearing preload "I've seen it". If the preload is set to tight the rotor will grow enough from the heat that the once tight fitting cap will fall out. I doubt you tightened yours down to this point but thought I'd mention it because I've seen it done before.
