I got my aluminum from a scrap bin where I formerly worked. Traced out my factory gauge panel, cut it with a jig saw & hole saw, then put my gauges where I wanted them. At first I polished the aluminum but later purchased a carbon fiber vinyl overlay. Total cost: aluminum $0, vinyl overlay $10, gauges $450. I plan on replacing all my wood grain pieces like this.Does anyone know of a place that sells and aluminum gauge cluster cover that I could cut and put my own gauges in?

The plexiglass sounds like a good idea. You could either paint it or use an overlay on it. Plus its easier to cut.
