The very meaning of all it is!!! My dad got to ride in one of these fine cars when new on Chryslers high bank track BITD. This car is the reason I'm a mopar man! Thanks for posting it.

When I was 6 my 16 year old baby sitter's dad bought a brand new Superbird. She drove the car more than her dad and I rode many miles in it while lying in the back dash staring up at the rear wing. I loved that car. It was 440 4 barrel, auto on column, red, black interior. The Superbird is without a doubt my favorite car of all time.

My dad and grandfather use to own and Texaco service station and garage. We lived within site of it. Someone that lived up the road past us use to trade there. He would hit second gear about our driveway with a bark of the rear tires. You could hear him pull out from the station with the straight pipes and I would run from where ever I was either inside or out to watch that beautiful car flash by. Always, thought they were the coolest cars ever. That car and the fact that dad always had mopars around kindled the love that I have for anything mopar.

They truly are a unique car, Ive never drove one, never road in one but i did drive a 70 RR years ago, ill bet it isint the same as driving a Super bird! I really like the color of this one, although they all look good...

One of my favorite "collector" cars, only too 69 Daytona Charger in the Mopar Aerocar realm/scheme of things... There's only a select few cars, I would rather have, but not very many, they are all in the Millions of dollars range...

I built my clone back in 1992 and drive it every week. 440 4 bbl auto but have the original pistol grip 4 speed ready to go back in "one day". Love to take my daughter to school , or take trash to the dump, or go get groceries and just enjoy it ( when the weather is not too hot). Got to meet Richard Petty and Dale Iman about 2 months ago and got them to sign car.

Always wanted a Superbird but could not afford so I bought a wing from Year One back in 1989 and then got a real nose in 1990. After I got enough parts together, I bought the Road Runner in 1991.
Most fun I have ever had owning a car.

I can clearly remember the Super Bird in my SE Kansas town of 10,000. It as Debbie Shoemaker's Bird. It was lime green with a black vinyl top. She was 17 I was about 11. The downtown parking in Independence was on an angle and the front end was always torn up some. I remember she pulled into a parking space next to Mom and me and Mom said, "That's the ugliest car I've ever seen." I remind her of that when I get a chance to show her what they're worth now days.
