i'm going to keep the 6-pak for another engine i hope to be doing later this year.Plan on selling your carbs?
yes they are with a ch28 and they're going on the new engine. i got all the brackets, fuel lines, and kickdown linkage fabbed so i need to get some use out of them. they've laying around too long.Looks like a pair of Eddies in you pic.
currently the build will be a .030" over 440 with icon 836 pistons, 440 source h-beam rods, edelbrock 84cc heads, steel crank, edelbrock ch28 with twin 600's. cam might be an engle k65 or comp cams 282 magnum solid not sure; maybe a hydraulic if i find something i like. full tti exhaust and must use pump gas. Thanks for the reply, keep in touch with the rebuild...

i've seen guys run in the ten's with that intake. i've never heard anybody who had one on the street complain about tuning issues or power. for what i intend to do i doubt a big single 4bbl on a performer rpm is a big power adder. driving on the smaller primary barrels should have an advantage on the street.AS much as that manifold gets a bad rap we have one that runs decent. Ported 906, MP .557 solid, 2 600 Eddys. In a 65 Belvedere with 4.56 it runs steady 11.50@115. A performer RPM would be quicker but doesn't look as cool.

the carb flanges on the edelbrock intake butt up to each other. the carbs are probably 1/2"-3/4" closer together on the edelbrock intake. i think the dual plane intake would give you a little more torque, but as nice as your set-up is i don't know if i'd touch it. i originally wanted to build a 385hp-413 type clone engine, with some modern pieces, for a '62 dart but i don't think thats ever going to happen.Lew,these are off a 62 300H,they have the flat's with a bumper in between,I'll measure but I think you are right about them being too close.
cool!Bill, I'm using a CH28 on my convertible with the "football" style air cleaners. They are tight but they fit.

My intake is a CH28. Bonnet clearance isn't an issue. My carburetors are actually Carters, but they are the same as the Edelbrocks. I bought the reproduction air cleaners through the Chrysler 300 club. I had them chromed locally. I did have to modify the bases as the opening in the carburetors is larger than the opening in the air cleaner bases.
