Lowered B Body Info & Pics

Mine is Firm Feel with Magnum Force 2" dropped spindles and 1.03" torsion bars. I'm also at 4 degrees of caster and the car handles like a slot car! I like the look on 15's but am looking for a set of 18's also for road performance - you just can't get tires for 15's any more unless you're a drag racer, or a Prius...

The cardboard on the floor is because my wife's (new) Volvo leaks. Roadrunner is fine though!

More details in my threads if you want them. Looking for a better pic, but for now:

I've mentioned this before and you and I have discussed tires and rims as a personal preference I like the staggered look... If I could do it again I would have done 17's front and 18's rear...

That's a great look, Kevin403! The wheels tuck nicely and the paint & body work looks great! What's the color??

Thanks. The color is viper GTS blue, can't remember the year.

All I would suggest in regards to the rim size is wider than 8" up front. I wish I did 9". 245 tire is to narrow IMO.

I just looked over my invoice. Originally I thought I had requested 4.5 front and 5.5 rear. Looks like I ordered 5.5" backspace on all 4... Hmm. I don't remember doing this now or why... Haha.

Hey USA, those are the wheel sizes and offsets I got on my car (rears have a 5" BS with 1/2" spacers since they didn't offer 5 1/2" at the time without custom ordering), and 17x8 with 4 1/2" BS up front fits like a glove. Really happy with the fit on everything

Yup. Agree. Keep with 4.5" bs upfront and 5.5 for the rear. I wish I kept to the 4.5 for my fronts.

More or less did the same as Jim Bob, Hotchkis (road race)rear leaf, torsion bars and adjusted the front end height with the torsion bars. Wanting additional camber I went with FirmFeel uca's and added boxing to the lower control arms. Also went with 18" rims and modern tire technology. It is now very fun to drive. Can't forget total front end rebuild with PST poly kit, too.

Man I love the look of this car!

IMG_0404.jpgHere is mine with saggy suspension. I'm going to go no higher when the new stuff is is, preferably a tad lower.

Love them dropped. My Challenger was the same way. I don't like the 4x4 or stink bug look[ airshocks maxed out.] Of course you can go too low which is a PITA for driveways, speed bumps etc. I love the look of a dropped dually but would never do it on mine, in the background, as its very impractical. My car is running 235/60r15 & 275/60r15 on it with that look.

You guys have some bad arse cars. Here's mine. Front is stock suspension lowered on the t-bars (it's a bit higher these days). Rear is a 4-link and QA1 adjustable coil overs with 30" X 12.5" M/T's on 15" steelies.

I've been thinking about doing something like 17"/18" front / rear aluminum wheels and blacking them out, but that'll be down the road a bit.

I lowered my 66 Belvedere with in 1" of the bump stops via the torsion bars and using a flatter rear spring then adding stouter shocks all the way around. you can also use lowering blocks for the rear if you like the springs you have....

Here's mine, lowered 2" with 18s and 19s. Suspension is all new but factory setup, the leafs have been de arched and the torsion bars backed off but heavier springs all the way around. Cars drives great!
