Well, folks, I need some big time help. About two years ago when I started project 'Ragnet one of the old timers in my shop pulled every last bit of window stuff out of my '66 convertible and assured me he would know how to put it all back together.

Fast forward to March, 2014 and he hasn't got a clue. Now I have a bucket of parts and no diagrams or knowledge.

So, if anyone has assembly diagrams they would be much appreciated. And keep in mind I can answer any question you ever have about manual transmissions, so I will be happy to return the favor.

Thanks Ragnet Stance.jpg

I can hook you up no problem. First step is to make sure the arms on the window regulators are tight where the rivet goes through the axis. Even if the are I'd put a few MIG tacks on them in case they loosen up in the future. Same goes for the convertible top cylinder pivots. DAMHIK!

I'm in the process of taking my 67 convertible apart - and my build thread ( I guess it's actually a un-build thread now ) has a number of pictures of the trim around the windows and how it all came apart. Hopefully the pictures will aid you in piecing together all the parts.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions and I'll be happy to try and assist you on the re-assembly . . .

These should get you where you need to go. I also put them up on photobucket. If you want the links let me know.100_8381.jpg100_8375.jpg100_8376.jpg100_8377.jpg100_8378.jpg100_8379.jpg100_8380.jpg

Thanks for the help. Photobucket link would be appreciated. My email is gray@americanpowertrain.com if you would prefer to send the link there. What have you got planned for your car?

OK...This is in no way a criticism of your work or your operation in your restoration but, how can you even perform any of the disassemble and reassembly of anything with out a FSM? It is the one tool that is required for any of our rides and one of the first things procured after we purchase our specific cars. It just makes no sense to me at all and yet I cannot count the times here that questions such as yours are constantly being brought up. And the answer is always, No I don't or something else to that effect. So that being said, you have come to the one place where we all try and help each other out so here is my offering....

This site has what you need and can be down loaded but will take a while. I looked else where for a hard copy of Dodge specific models for 1966 and didn't find any. Plymouth is available and is basically the same as the Dodge so it is a reliable substitute if you get into a bind. But this site has it so my suggestion is to get one. You cannot go wrong if so. Good luck and keep us informed and queried if you need any further assistance...cr8crshr/Tuck

Uhhhh. Usually when a paragraph starts with "this is in no way a criticism..." it surely is, as in this case. This is why we have dads. If it bothers you, why not just move on to the next post? Soooo, "that being said", thanks for the useful information you provided to the original poster. BTW, I have one of American Powertrain's hydraulic throw-out bearing set-ups and it is awesome.
