What is the sheet metal gage?

What is the gage of the sheet metal on these 74 Chargers? Is it the same on the floor pans as the fenders and doors? Thanks
 
IRRC, it was the same on my 66 Belvedere.
 
20 gauge and it's pretty much the same about the entire car's panels, besides the frame, K-Frame, torsion bar X-member and other structural bracing/supports.

So are the older cars a heavier gauge? Seems to me, back when I use to work on them a lot, that the metal kept getting a little thinner as the years progressed.

I was thinking after 1960, then maybe after 1967, then after 1980?

Could very well be the current 68' project has 18gauge !!
 
Use 16 gauge for floor repair and 18 for the rest... my '67 front fenders seem real thin compared to the rest of the car... because of how they were stamped possibly

If a car has had several paint jobs over the years would make it thin from sanding in places...
 
We used 18 gauge for all the repairs on my 69 Charger.
