turn signal flasher

U think it could be a bad bulb or connector?

please explain, I would like to know how you came up with this cause?

My statement was ment to come off as a question.

In the past I've had to replace the headlight switch to remedy a problem with either turn signals not working or maybe it was brake lights. The circuit ran thru the headlight switch.

simple... if broken, won't flash the right side. Is just one flashers for both sides ;) works or not to both sides

if one side doesn't flash you don't have load able to heat the bimetallic inside i.e. no high watt bulbs. Are you just looking at cluster light keeping on, or all bulbs outside on left side keep lighting up without blink?

I think Nacho has hit the nail on the head here, you are not getting enough load to allow the flasher to work and could be due to corroded socket, bad ground, etc. I would check the grounds and clean the sockets on the front and rear and see if that resolves the issue.

All fixed.it was a bad left rear turn signal bulb

no, they do nit run through the headlight switch

I was to post exactly about... my guess could be a bad bulb or socket... somehow a bad ground circuit making a short able to run the load out of the flasher.

Dunno if you have got sometimes a dimming fender turn signal or related circuit when you turn on parking lights... thats a bad ground somewhere between parking and turning lighs which is common.

You mostly sure got a light dimming light when turning to left, but coming from a short to ground, so no the full load going through the flasher

the bulb worked but glass was a little black

Thanks "Wing"

I just remember years ago having changed a turn signal switch and found that the problem was in the light switch. The more I think about it it might have been a Ford.
I checked the wiring diagram for several Chryslers and didn't see one that routed turn signals thru the light switch, including the '73.

Glad to see the fix was a simple one!
