I have had 2 sets of heater core hoses from Year one.
Part number 1605535 which does not fit my 5/8" heater core nipples sticking through the firewall.
I see other vendors selling hose 1605534 as a 5/8" as correct hoses for a 69. Year one says thats not right the right part number for 69. Both have the 3 ribs but the 5504 has a thinner side wall which may allow it to stretch better and slip over the nipples..
What is the correct part number for the heater hoses? I know A/C cars had a 1/2" and a 5/8" hose one of each, but my Superbee should have the same hoses (non A/C).

Very frustrated.

99% of the time, using Year One you are wasting your time and your money.

Year one and their sellers swear 5535 is correct for 69 big block B body.
15 other sellers say it's 5534 just like in the link you provided. Year one says 5534 is for a 1970 B body BB.

OK, that's good to know. I guess I'll find out if the judges at the NATS next week catch that error on my car. :icon_frown:

Sometimes a little armour all or mothers on the hose end helps get them on...

I tried lubing it. But the nipple was cutting the inner lining of the hose. It's just too daman small. I'm hoping some others chime in with the correct past number

I guess I'm still a little confused as to why you continue to believe what Year One says? In your own post you state that "15 other sellers say its 5534" and you also state that the 5534 will actually fit. But....those 15 others must be wrong.

Is it possible that Year One is wrong?

Yes it is. Vans who sells Y1 finally said they didn't want to ship me any more hoses, I said "why not? I'm frigging paying for the shipping, how about get it right and you wont have to ship me anymore" LOL . I'm still waiting for the 5534 to arrive. I just sent the second set of 5535 back to them.

Rusty, Sorry about the confusion on my part. After thinking about what you had said overnight, I finally realized what you meant in your original post. I had it in my head that you were convinced that the 5535 hose WAS correct and you weren't willing to try the 5534. (I'm kinda slow sometimes).

Anyway, I think you will be happy with the 5534 hose, I'm no expert but it fits well on my Bee and looks good too. Good luck with it! :eek:ccasion14:
