I have a stock 1965 coronet 500, a weekend street car, 323 gears, with a TNT 440 engine, and the car looks and runs good,, its a Mopar! and I would like to install a new sway bay. what would be the best part to go with, what should I consider, what should I not consider, what manufacture, or year should I go with, and what's the best price out there. Any advise will be gladly appreciated. Thanks, Z Fire.

I bought a Hellwig (they advertise on this site) for my 65 Coronet 500 and although I have not installed it yet, it seems like a really nice piece at a good price.

Good luck and Welcome.

It will be awhile before I get to that part of my build but I will post updates as I go.

i'm using a firm-feel 1 1/8" on my 65 coronet. very happy with it.

I installed helliwig 1 1/8 tubular sway bar on my 65 Plymouth, front and rear bars. not to difficult, some drilling required, in k frame and rear frame rails. made a big difference in ride and handleing, along with sub frame connectors, fells like a different car! a lot less body roll and wallowing in turns, I really notice when im in a turn, I can see the hood of car stays flat! one thing to watch for, as I found out the hard way, the brakets for the front sway bar that attach to the lower front shock mount come close to contact to the brake calipers if you have disc brakes, when the wheel is at full turn. this will cause a loss of pressure in brake system, took me a while to find with the help of some other forum members, after a new master cylinder, and brake lines. im sure install would be a lot e-z er on a lift, but instuctions call for full weight of car to be on wheels, so lots of crawling on back on garage floor. while try to post pics.

I did pretty much the same mods to my 64 440,along with the pst front end kit. Now am looking for a replacement for the bench seat & lap belt as staying in the seat is holding me back not the supension/brakes now.
