With Hellcats on the road, how long will it take for someone to wreck the car and for someone else to buy the wreck and use the engine for a classic mopar engine transformation?

Waiting... :thinker:

There wont be that many out there. The ones that are will be owned by people that probably have some sense. It may be a while

Their will be some but few and far between and you better have some deep pockets if you do find one !!

Awww, now that's not kind.

Thanks for sticking up for me. $20.00 is in the mail to you. Keep up the good work.

I thought it was thoughtful. I edited the post with emphasis in red. Better?

Well, history does tend to repeat itself. Just look at these poor Viper wrecks.

with 700+ hp you better strap in for a ride if you do get one.

Any way,

After kneeling down and saying my 20 "Hail Richard's" I had an ephiany...

The HELLCAT is not on the streets yet!

At least, not production Hellcats...
Mid 2015 I expect!

After some thought I retract my previous statement. Not about RC. He is still not stupid. But there will definitely be those that think they are formula one, NASCAR and drag racing champions all in one. It will happen. The motors will still be few and far between and very expensive. It would be cheaper to find a 6.4 from a truck and boost it

A buddy was almost killed in a Viper crash. He and a friend were traveling at about 80 on a west Texas road that was straight as an arrow and he thinks his friend fell asleep. They both came out of it but only after a fairly long hospital stay. As for the car.....there wasn't much left that was usable including the drive line. Really can't believe anyone could have survived it....

Yup,
There were a few nice GT500s wrecked with only a couple of hindred miles on them initially...

I wish this on no one but doesn't it seem like every time some hot car comes along, a story of it being wrapped around a tree by a celebrity soon follows? This is not a dig to out beloved RC! May he enjoy and respect the awesome power unscathed!

I'm still trying to figure out how an auto manufacturer can release something with that much power to anyone with a credit rating - even the 400 and 500 HP cars. Apparently there are three different power settings and I bet selecting "track mode" automatically disavows any knowledge of the sales dealer (and salesman) while simultaneously cancelling your auto insurance policy. Then in three milliseconds automatically sets up a life insurance policy naming Sergio Marchionne as beneficiary.

Why not? People are building 1000 plus HP cars that dont have half the crap the hellcat has to keep it straight. And when you buy it new you get a lesson on driving it at a srt track day.
