Hello Everyone:
I'm trying to remember the location of this bracket, maybe around the grill or front end area.
We tore the car down to begin rebuild 7 years ago, then the events of life began, unfortunately a couple of them very sad. But in time we pick ourselves up, dust off and move forward.
Now the build is all but complete and I just can't remember where this goes.
Any help would be appreciated.
One pic is the bracket and the other of the car taken this past summer. It's all together now and will later post a nice package . I hope they attached.

Thanks

Looks like the column support brace Dale. Goes from the top of the column support to the inner cowl side wall

Front fender brace?

I'm glad you asked about this Dale, but I had to laugh because I finished putting my car together last fall and ended up not knowing where I removed this from, I knew it came out from under the dash but did not know where, thanks for the picture Propwash!

BTW...Sweet Car Dale!!

Thanks for the info. Propwash be right, column brace. Will be a challenge now but I'll give it a shot Dale

Will is the man that wins the prize :beerchug:. Forgot all about that under dash brace.

These tend to be forgotten. Found this picture from reassembly that shows it installed pretty well. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the complement, It's all together now bumpers, glass, interior, etc. A couple of electrical bugs to work out and that's it. Has a lot of my son's influence in it, very sinister looking. After recovering from losing my Wife, his Mom, the car became our return to some kind of normal.
My question to you is, how much of a bear was it to install after the dash / seats / glass / interior is in? Or did you just run without. Don't really know what it does other than perhaps offer some stabilization in a crash. Open for comments on this. Dale

I think you are correct about it being a crash brace. There does not seem to be any other reason for it. I think your car looks great without it.

Your call on putting it in. I think the top bolt is going to be a bear to reach with the dash installed. Never tried, so give it a shot.

Thanks again D. Will take a look later this week. Dale
