Ok I have some questions on the 470 stroker build...Me being new to Mopars I just would like to get some sound advice before pulling the trigger on anything...
Here is my dilemma, Being In Canada with our dollar being, down buying and shipping anything from the USA just isn't worth it right now, I know I could just call up 440 source and order a whole rotating assembly but again, it comes back to the all mighty dollar being crappy....

Now I have a buddy, who's cousin works at a place where they turn cranks and he said they will turn me a 440 crank down and cut the counter weights and everything pretty much for next to nothing as long as I am not in a super big panic. Which I am not.. I also have a buddy who works in a parts supply store who will get the the pieces I need for 3% above his cost which is great, He said He can get me a wicked deal on Manley Rods and JE pistons , comp cams, etc pretty good stuff...

Now I have looked at lots and lots of builds, The motor I want to build is gonna see some strip time but I want to keep it around 10-1 to be able to run it on the street also, Now I just want to see if I have the math right

The crank I have to have offset ground to 3.915" on the mains with a chevy 2.2 journal?

The Rods I can use are a big block chevy rod with a 6.535? My buddy has a set of manley sportsman rods in stock for a BBC for $300 which makes the chevy rod very attractive

Now what pistons to use ? That is my huge question..

Depending upon your cylinder heads size and compression ratio you wish to run, here are four choices for that rod.

Icon IC837
Icon IC825
Ross 99537
Ross 99538

I am really looking hard at the Indy ez heads, Theres a guy with a set locally that might be coming up for sale I have heard both good and bad things about the eddy heads

Make sure the rods have the correct big end width (or you account for it) so you don't have side clearance issues, which I thought was the problem with actual Chevy rods.

That was gonna be my next question. Is there a width difference from the BBM to the BBC. or am I better to go with a 440 rod? Then what piston do I go with? Man so many combo's now a days

The Ross piston numbers are correct. I believe I goofed on one of the Icon pistons, its not IC837. They are IC839 and IC825

Plenty of motors out there running wide side clearance, It isn't an issue. Mopar width is 1.017", Chevy is .992". Side clearance increases by .050" per pair. Oil flow is controlled by bearing clearance and oil viscosity, not side clearance.

Not that I've seen. I haven't seen or heard of one instance where it created an issue.

So many options with these stroker mopars. It can make your head spin

Thanks for the input, I've read differently, but makes sense that the bearing clearance and oil are the controlling factors.
