Looking for this hood....cannot find anywhere on internet. Thinking
It was custom made, center cut out and fiberglass the scoop in.
Has anyone seen this? 1969_plymouth_road_runner-pic-4645374011968181087.jpg

After market.. It looks like the ones they sell at speed shops.

I hope that you are not thinking of doing that because that is such a shame. To ruin a perfectly good Air Grabber hood like that is a crime against the hobby. Same goes for those dopey traction bars..

Problem with my GTX, it wasn't a airgrabber car, and I added the edlebrock high rise and three Holley carbs, and the airgrabber won't fit, so I can go the the fiberglass scoop hood that came on road runner or that one with the side vents too....I haven't decided what to do

Get a flat hood from a Sat. or Belvd. and put a six pack scoop on it! For god sakes Don't cut up a RR hood!!!

1003phr_05_o+1967_ford_fairlane_1969_plymouth_gtx_1971_el_camaro+gtx_front_left.jpgProbably just gonna get the aftermarket fiberglass hood with six pack scoop and keep airgrabber and hood for if I ever take off six pack.....like this Gtx

The add on scoop shown in the first picture looks like the ones that the Pro Stock cars used in 1970 or 71. Usually seen on E bodies.

A lot of people cut up good road runner hoods back in the day and used traction bars. I myself didn't like the way the pinion snubbers acted but didn't use slapper bars....at least not the ones speed shops sold.

This is scoop I had on a Super Street road runner in the early 80's.

Ramcharger413 I agree, I am going to get the one like in the pic with yellow gtx. only thing is i cant use my base or lid so need to buy those to so the airflow will work, any opinions on year one? or AAR $915 for year one and $ 550 for AAR .....is this one of those get what u pay for or year one is just over priced?

I don't know if Year One has the steel reinforcements in the hinge area like AAR, but hoping some members who have these hoods will jump in with more info.

I bought an AAR brand hood & scoop for my Satellite with the hinge mounts couple months ago, very, very good quality. Not yet on the car though.
