just got home from Cancun. Sun,beach's and plenty of T&A… Myself i like em with more luggage in the trunk so it was endless and thank God for sun glasses and my wife reading her book LOL. I have to tell you that once there was enough and id rather stay in the states or PR or some of those other islands. My daughter took us and since it was in the cuff i can't get picky but my daughter was not feeling well and got worse down there to the point we thought that i was going to take her home or anywhere close in the States as a medical emergency. At one point talking to a MD we suspected appendictitus, but luckily that was not the case and eventually she felt well enough to finish the trip.It was a God send we were there as she has three young children and my son in law would have had his hands full. Nothing beats this country
We stayed at a top rated resort,it was all inclusive. The place was beautiful and spotless. It also was filled to capacity and i think over crowded. The food was ok,not great. But if you like to drink thats the place to go. Either way it was good but I'm glad to be home.

I've heard the resorts are very nice, but don't get too far away from them in the cities. All kinds of scammers and thieves. Never been to one myself though.

Awesome trip...glad your daughter made it thru!
I got married in Riviera Maya about 30 min south of there...
I am on vacation right now in PR...Rincon to be exact.
Away solo (no wife,no kids). Having 2 1/2 yr old twins I forgot how to relax
But the weather is great!
Out of all the places I have been... st.John usvi takes the cake

Glad you had fun Steve!
Family enjoy too?
Yeah, as Dorothy said: "no place like home"

Send in some pics!

R.C.,You are really disturbed. But that's why we like you.
Steve, where did you stay ? We spent a week there at the Royal Sands in 05. Cancun at night is dangerous, so we were back at the resort early. I can drink on my patio just fine. Beautiful area, the water looks like a giant margarita.

Glad you had a good time, did you know that Boobs are like the Sun..., you can stare at them directly just for a few seconds, but if you put on sunglasses, you can stare as much as you want! :)

I have been to Cozumel and Playa Del Carmen (just south of Cancun) and it was OK. The venture way out of town, including the pot hole filled drive cut through the middle of the jungle, passing three villages; walking out onto a rickety pier to visit an alligator then ending with lunch in a makeshift restaurant was the most memorable experience (in a good way). The food there was awesome but not so at the resort. Just OK there. I'm in no hurry to go back.

One thing that got my attention were the villages. A casual observation would make one feel sorry for those people living in little shacks with palm branch roofs and no windows. That was until I saw one shack with a huge dish on the roof and a guy inside lying on his hammock looking at a huge TV screen. It was then I realized that if these people wanted some big house with a real roof and doors they would just build it.

It's easier to rebuild a grass hut after a hurricane than a big house.

Take a cruise on Royal Caribbean and then stay in Bermuda, few places as clean or beautiful in the world with Pink Sand beaches and the clearest blue water I have ever seen. if that is not enough then go to Tahiti.

We have been on Allure and Oasis (both ships built in Finland by the way), with Royal Caribbean. Awesome trips. We stopped one time in Haiti and that was a disaster, we just about bought everything the people were selling just because we felt so sorry for them.
