anybody use them? any journal size problems where they have to be re-ground? my crank guy says stay away from them. what do you racers say? this will be a non-race engine.

I use them in my duster.
I gave them the clearances I wanted and they were spot on.
I told them I'm going to check so make sure it's correct

From way back in the 70's I heard the same"They ain't no good".And they are still in business today. As with anything people can make mistakes (Even Doctors).I would think you will be ok.

i had thought about driving over to ohio and getting one vs having one dropped out the back of a ups or fedex truck a few times. i don't really need a 4340 crank but i don't need some used junk i have to throw $$$$ at or throw away; i just need a crank.

If you are going to pick it up, take a micrometer with you. Might even ask them to throw it up between centers and see if there's any runout. I also check to make sure the bearing surfaces are round.

this would be the only positive way to check dimensions.

I read many positive reviews. Very few negative.

Used a few cranks from them years ago, probably 15 or so now, I never had any problems...

couldn't comment on any recent stuff thou...

I'm not sure if it's the same ownership or management,
but they were good then, especially customer service & quick shipping...
Even way out to Calif., granted it was mostly GM stuff,
but was good quality & workmanship/machining
