A distributor cap of note

Could be made from rare earth materials...... Or a misprint.... Or an idiot..... My guess would be ....

Free shipping, not sure if it is the original box, and he'd love to see it in your car at a show.

Gold diggers like this don't help the hobby. Take it to his grave. Moron.

Hopefully it falls off the shelf and shatters into a thousand pieces. Sellers like that just piss me off. Bad thing is, there is an idiot that will happily give up a grand for a cap.

Hell, I have some "rare" fasteners that may have seen or been around a HEMI car or a 440 car of some sort...hell, they might have actually been ON a Hemi or 440 car at some point. Let's see, $500 per bolt, $250 per nut, and $50 for the "special" washers. They even have that highly-valued and touted "patina" on them. Sounds reasonable to me.

I'm watching this one closely - if if gets any closer to my price range I may jump on it..... Thinking ......$

one problem I have is he isn't sure if it's the original box. If it was..........

Plus, the very same cap and rotor are used, regardless of the V8 displacement. A "HEMI" cap is a 318 cap. It's a $20.00 cap.

I've got some fender bolts from a '71 Hemi 'Cuda convertible I'd be willing to trade...

Gentlemen,
I believe, in the original pix, that the items are for a Prestolite dual point distributor. But its hard to tell, unless there is an inside view of the cap, as it would have a spring loaded carbon brush that contacts the rotor. It may fit the HP 273 or 340 or the B/RB application but NOT Mopar single point units...... The price seems to be extrodinairly high......hopefully a miss print. The last time I purchased these items I paid approximately $20 for both. Its extremely difficult to tell OEM from aftermarket even on a "numbers matching" car.
Cheers,
RJ Renton
