hi all I'm after a dead repop red cap moper battery if anyone has one
 
To ad Mopar authenticity to a car that does not run anyway? LOL A dead battery is going to cost a fortune to ship to Australia.

I know a guy who has a bunch of cars but claims he really should not be classified as a "collector" since he only has one working battery he has to move from car to car if he wants to drive them.
 
I have one but like 67GTX said. "cost a fortune to ship to Australia". I'm not sure it can even be shipped. My 70 Challenger went to Australia last year with a red top battery and the idiots shipping it left the key on and ran the battery dead. The new owner told me he had access to a new one somewhere down under. Maybe he still has the old one. He is 50 miles from Sydney.
 
Contact whom ever makes the repops and try to buy a shell. If all you want is a dead battery, have your seller cut the bottom off, after draining acid and gut the thing, then send you the bottom and shell. (it now is just a piece of plastic).
 
thats all i want is the shell sixpactogo if you can gut it out cut the bottom out neatly or anyone that can help please send me your contact details much appreciated
 
I really don't want to deal with the mess. Like dual fours said, Maybe contact Antique batteries to see if they can send you an empty case.

already tried the battery guys and they wont sell them as a case due to breaching their licenses with Chrysler
 
FYI, I tossed mine because it would not stop corroding no matter what I tried. It started eating up the inside of the hood. Looked good though. Forgot to take off the caps.

I gutted my redcap early this year. It was a PITA. Its not a matter of just cutting out the bottom and draining it. Took me at least 6 hours to pry and cut out the gel/lead guts. There was no liquid inside. Job has to be done carefully because the case will crack if not.
