Before we get started with the always changing Mopar resurrection just a little history; born in 47, graduated high school 65 (sex, drugs, and rock & roll), USAF(electronics), Tool & Die maker, college, had a Mopar restoration biz, married 3 times (Mighty Casey story), had it all and lost almost all, been single for 15 yrs, retired Engineer (automotive industry), downsized to renting a room w/ bath, no yard, no maintenance, no bills so to speak, own a 67 GTX which I purchased 46 yrs ago and 66 Belv I 2 dr post.
4 years ago I was resuscitated and spent 12 days in the hospital. Not going to elaborate just that it was related to the "Nectar of Gods"!!! At that point realizing I had been given a second chance to extend my temporary visit on earth I decided to do another Mopar or two. So with that in mind the all time fave of mine was Jere Stahl's 66 Belv post car. Set up right they are the badest looking cars on the planet (my opinion) not forgetting the 67 GTX. So I know this guy who knows a guy that has some old Mopars and wants to thin the herd. This was in Sept. of 2011, after phone calls and pics a deal was made which also included a 67 donor mobile, on Nov 12, 2012 brought her home to the Belvedere Hotel and the fun began. Keeping in mind that like most of us I am a one man band with limited resources ($). After all the years in the industry doing design and manufacturing the need for developing a plan came about, that's where I started the 66BIADDS (66 Belvedere I Attitude Development Design Studio). All of that takes place at the Belvedere Hotel "Behind the Green Door". OK after all of that and a half million bucks later here we go! - Gary

Wow! The mere memory of the title of this post brings back memories of sneaking under the fence at the drive-in to get a peak at this movie title! The movie that played with this one had Lovely Leslie Ann Warren in her debut into films of this nature at 19 years old, what a "striking" Cinderella she played.
Oops, sidetracked...Quite a baring of the soul and the honesty is appreciated. Glad to see the comeback and hope to see pics and here a great story of success!

Man-O-Man, what a similar life - up to a point anyway.
- born '46, Airborne/Ground Electronics in USAF 67-71, Automotive Engrg Deg, retired in 08 after 34 yrs in the automotive industry, married twice, divorced once, .............current project car is 67 Charger.

Moving Forward

Before ripping this sucker apart I spayed every nut, bolt and screw that was accessible with WD-40 and let it soak for a day and then resprayed and soaked for another day. Didn't have to use any BFH's or crow bars - just hand tools to disassemble - piece of cake!!! Allegedly the car was from Florida coast and they rust from the top down, then made its way to Indiana and finally to Michigan. I had mentioned that the guy I purchased the car from was thinning the herd, well this one was going to the crusher - I think it was devine providence that it now is in my custody. There is also the "Law of Attraction", after decoding the fender tag the car is BB1(Black) my fave color, and red interior - yea, things are looking good, the car was built on 3/21/66 which is my birthday 3/21/47 and I was 19 yrs old the century and when I turn 66 the year the car was built the car was 47 yrs old the year I was born and its a 2dr post. The only thing missing would be a Hemi/4 speed - but that would be a stretch. Actually that's a good thing otherwise it would have to be done all orig and I have one of those so this one I can go nuts and do anything my little heart desires regardless of how long it takes($$$)!lder OS:

Cool! I had a car that was built on my birthday years back but it was a 70 Challenger. Owned it for several years before decoding anything but I bought the car in 1980 and not many including me cared that much about numbers at that point. Did keep the car for 18 years though. AND, I have 2 66 2dr post cars now. Owned one of them for around 27 years now and the other was obtained a couple of years ago.

Laying on the ground, trying not to be spotted and chased out,we didn't dare drag the speakers off the posts! To be honest (at 15 years old), I was so overwhelmed with the "visual plot" that they could have played the Star Spangled Banner in a loop all the way through the movie and I wouldn't have noticed. Will have to Google that song and see if that jars the memory. THX

Ready for Surgery

After the disassembly and inspecting the frame rails/rocker boxes I was installing the chassis cart I had a pleasant surprise, as I jacked up the car in the rear passenger side to install the bracket/ wheel the entire front end of the car lifted off the jack stands - the car was solid as a rock!!!

Surgery and Fitment

You're probably thinking - or not that I am moving along at a phenomenal speed. Thanks to the computer/ digital camera and a lot of files(2+ yrs)the post will be up to the present.
