I thought in 70 they went to a flexible boot on the no 7 plug wire to help get it out without having to loosen the booster.

Kinda like this

The flex boot only lets you get the boot out
the plug is a whole other issue as far as i can see

I have NOT changed the plug as of yet.
Yes, it is a tight fit.
I'll poke around this afternoon when I leave work.
I am fortunate to have some nice tools...
Slim line ratchets etc.

Ok Thanks let us know how it goes

I was hoping that it could be done without disconnecting the brake lines
Might be able to remove the master from the booster then loosen the booster enough to get in there???

Hi Lucky Lar
I have NO ISSUE at all with the drivers side head.
This is a shot for you to examine. (27 Jan 2016 1600PST)
Now,yes, the "Tube" is RIGID, and therefore needs careful manipulation due to the size of the Booster and the Booster's proximity to the specific spark Plug tube.
I used a Snap-On Swivel Spark Plug Socket and a 6" Snap-On Wobble Extension, facilitating an easy removal.
I hope this helps you.

You have a non-factory booster there and I don't know if the diameter is the same as a factory Bendix booster. However, what I have always used is a standard spark plug socket with a 3" extension, a swivel & then another 6" extension. Works like a charm.

Correct RC
I am hoping to install a Factory Original "Style" this springtime.
Ram Man has them as does another company (Cheaper).

Why do I even bother stating the obvious?

Seriously...

The factory stoke booster is being made by Pirate jack a dision of a big brake part company in NC. Master Power?? You have a problem with stock booster. Install aflex line on both sides of mastercylinder and it will come off easy.

Thanks to all

I think my booster is fatter than yours Super Bee

When i looked at it i did not think i could even get a socket in there
but i will try what RC suggested
