A good rebuildable core, $100-$150. I've given them away in the past. A quality rebuilt one, around $750.

Part number also make a big difference. If we are talking a 1970 727 from a 440 six pack or a hemi 727 vs. a 1976 400 BB 727. The performance parts are always going to bring better money. I have also sold regular nothing special BB 727 cores around $100-150.00 in the past. I am sure where you are located also makes a big difference.

this will just be a fun driver, 400 low compression, if I live long enough maybe one day it will become a stroker!!!! I rather have the 4 speed, but I have changed more than a few over years back when I was younger and parts easier.cheaper!! lol

I just bought a 1967 big block 727 for 50 bucks on Craigslist. It shifts! 727's are great transmissions. I have been busy with parts searches and this one was too good to pass up. My backup trans now as I'm gathering 4 speed parts. Trying to rebuild a set of manual pedals right now.
