Hi everyone I am about to pull the trigger on a center section I have decided to build from scratch. Which center section is better the Doctor diff or yukon power lok this will be for a 742 case thanks

Plus his clutch sure grip is a 1 piece design (side gear splines) which is way stronger than the factory.

I've bought a bunch of stuff from Cass and will do more business with him in the future. It has always been a great experience as he will go out of his way to make sure you get what you need.

Why not the Eaton detroit truetrac? You can get that in a 489 or 742 case from Joe at Elite Vintage, no core.

Those are pricey, but a very good unit.

X3 on Cass. Bought my disc brake conversion kit from him, called him a few times for tech help and he always answered the phone, always took his time to help me out.

Eaton true trac is JUNK!!! there is no side gear support & it lets the axles move & make noise when going slow.

GTX, I like Dr. DIFF AS WELL AS THE CLUTCH TYPE CARRIER. I ALSO PREFER THE 742 HOUSING BUT JUST REMEMBER THAT THE MOTOR COMPANY INSTALLED THE DANA/MOPAR-60 on every thing over 375 HP but I will also say that it depends on what your doing with the 8-3/4". I have personally put several through hell with 4-speed cars and souped engines with large tires back in THE-DAY. I have no experience with the Yukon but is supposed to be a great unit also. We use the D-60 power loc. now.

Bought from Dr. Diff once and it was very good experience! Would buy again when I need to.

I went with dr diff and it looks great he really details the diff too bad it could not be seen, unfortunately I have to wait for the other items to finish the diff engine is on the stand I just got done assembling the lower end waiting for my heads to get back both the block and heads were late with the time the machine shop said they would get done I still need to finish body work
