Did 1972 road runners ever have an instrument panel like this or were they all rally dash round instruments?
Thanks, John

Yep- RH or RP car. The RL cars got no woodgrain, but a silver finish instead.

Wasn't it an option for Sebring Plus like it was for Charger SE?

Thanks for the responses. I kind of thought that by 1972 the road runner had a rally instrument cluster with the round gauges.

Next question. Did they come with a tach or was that optional? Does anyone have a picture with the tach?

Were all rally dashes 150 mph speedos?

Tach and clock were options and the cluster is different if neither was ordered, and can't readily be upgraded to accept one.

Just found this on FeeBay. Auto Meter 2140 Mounting Solution. It says it fits '72 road runner. Anyone have one?

From what I can see it looks real nice. How was it to install? Any other thoughts or information. I'm thinking about buying one of these. I have a strong feeling an original like the one you showed in post 10 are a lot more expensive. I'll have to shop around.

Definitely shop around. I have a Rallye cluster in my 74 Roadrunner, that has the 150 MPH speedo, that I paid $50 for. I've seen them selling for $50 to $400, so just keep shopping around.

If you use ebay, make sure you do your searches using the Just Listed option. The default is Best Match, and the good deals are long gone before you see them in that listing.

You also want to look for cut and un-cut clusters. This refers to the stereo area. Most owners cut out the area between the stereo opening and the right-side knob hole to allow the installation of an aftermarket stereo back in the day. The cluster in the picture above would be referred to as un-cut, and un-cut are usually more expensive than the cut ones. If you're going to install an aftermarket stereo, don't pay extra for an un-cut cluster that you'll just end up cutting to get the stereo in.

Also, try to find one with that damn wiper knob on it. That sucker is a major PITA to find if it's missing, and most of them went missing decades ago. :)

i do have a complete dash with rallye gauges ( 150 speedo ) it is disassembled ( yes has the wiper switch and knob, 3 speed ) shoot me a pm if interested , it is uncut.

Oooh, what do you want for that?
