Well as always I'm out of time. Parts took forever for the refresh. Rained all last weekend. Towed 3 hrs to Norwalk last night, super busy. It rained so water was coming up past the 1/8 so no 1/4 passes. Fresh bullet went 1.29/5.84@117. 1.33/5.81@119, maybe 60ft on the rears on the 2nd pass. Good enough, nothing broke. Looks like it'll run good. Swapped my upgraded converter today and put the good oil in it. We'll see Friday in Bowling Green . A long way to tow w/o much testing, 9hrs.

Looks like low 9's in the 1/4?

Good luck! I went up to bowling green last year didn't race but seemed like no one could hook up. Hopefully it's prepped better. Once I get my junk together ill be taking it up there. Funny how there's cows all around there

Good luck in Bowling Green

I hope you go many rounds, win baby win...LOL

I know you're a little disappointed but maybe the air wasn't as good that day.
Hopefully you'll get in the low 5.70's and get that 8 second pass.

Not bad for the first 2 passes. Air was decent. Well see how many passes to break it in, about 10 minutes total of run time. My bet is 5.70's will be here soon. Thought I'd be able to get 6-7 passes but not to be.

Those are consistent times congrats, what gear ratio are you running and tire size. Thanks in advance for the info.

Awesome Doug. Glad to hear your running strong ! Ron

Car was very good. Qualified #7 out of 60 cars. Ran for class on Saturday went to final 5 out of 19 and went brain dead -.064 red. Then starter issues. Pulled the starter 4 times. Moved the crank and it started, then no crank, starter just spun. Late and dark put it away. Started Sunday to warm up. Then wouldn't crank again for the 1st rd. In the daylight I could see the issue. Missing 4 inches of ring gear. Shouts out to Jeff Freese for letting me use the hoist in his stacker to swap out the converter. Good to go for next weekend in Columbus.

Man, How the heck did that happen?
Came back from a run and the starter just spun. Have no idea where the missing piece went. I can tell you it became friendly with the header tube on it's exit. Fortunately no other damage. It's in the trailer ready for Columbus

Always someone around to help out at the drags!

Any numbers Doug?
For N/SS we were trying to run the 9.25 index as the car won't go the required 8.95 or so to make the 9.0 index. Went 9.276 on the first qualifier, tuned it up to a 9.227 on the 2nd qualifier, nailed it with a 9.255 on the 3rd shot. Remember no electronics and you keep the same index all weekend. First 2 shots were Friday, sunny and cool. Third shot was Saturday. It was raining, high humidity, headwind was gusting 8-12mph coming directly down the track. Car ran dead on what I set it Saturday. Went brain dead 3rd round. Wouldn't have mattered anyway as it broke on that pass. on kill for Columbus.Set

Good luck in Columbus

never seen a starter ring do that, learn something new everyday

love the beer can patch job...LOL

Weather station predicted a 9.34 in Columbus. Obviously it likes this converter better as it ran 9.160 off the trailer. Sat in rain since. We get 1 crack at qualified tomorrow morning. See how close I can tune to 9.25.
