I have a modern mopar (06 Daytona) and restoring a 69 Roadrunner that I have owned for ages. I go there with a car club but my feeling is that I am just glad the modern mopars are allowed in the show - the real stars are the vintage stuff. And I agree that a lot of people tart their modern cars up for no need...Another show in the books.....only another 51 weeks til next one.
Overall impressions:
Parts prices high, but if you looked long enough you'll find what u want n reasonable- got everything I was after
The upswing in show cars is directly related to the modern challengers/chargers. Hint: don't name ur car n buy every chrome and led gizmo for it. End of purist rant, they're great cars but I don't like to see a Hellcat with a mural. Yuck. Just cuz u got money..... Don't be stupid ok now end of purist rant.
Group of unhappy modern folks when my son couldn't get to his assigned spot turned us in for being near them - really come on Mopar people- he won't be back, disgusted by them whoever they were.
I will forever return, it's still the best show goin but needs a cruise (think Heath Ohio)
See ya next year
x2Wow, that's a lot of pictures! (Unfortunately I don't have Facebook.)
