we were the "shave one leg to mid thigh and one eyebrow " type ,NO shorts in the middle of summer is a royal pain :lol:
 
The 1919 Boston Molasses Disaster, where a large tank containing over two million gallons of molasses collapsed and sent a 25 foot high wave at 35 miles per hour down the street. Nearby buildings were pushed off their foundations and the elevated train supports were damaged. 21 people and several horses were killed, about 150 people injured. This happened in January, the water in the harbor stayed brown until summertime.

Had to think about this....Could molases, in Boston, in January really reach 35mph???? I'm in Houston in August and I use a butter knife to coax it out of the jar...
 
I guess it would depend on how concentrated it is. The molasses that I use isn't much thicker than buttermilk. Certainly a lot thinner than pancake syrup.
 
I wouldn't go up there, especially without a paddle.

The stuff we get down here is really cane syrup...made from sugar cane....
