Pulled my cluster out last night to install a tach in place of the clock. When I put it all back together I found this on the carpet. Not sure if it fell out of the dash or what. Anyone have any ideas? No, it's not a quarter!! and it's not the clock stem knob.

Thanks

Is it metal or plastic? I don't recall any such item in my '70 road runner cluster.

is the shaft end hollow and threaded inside? could be female half of a sex screw.

No threads. It is hollow. Wierd thing is the dash has been blasted, painted and moved around for 6 years. I'm surprised something just stayed in.

I Second that Rebel.

I don't think it goes to the car, just can't figure out what it came from or how it got there.

Looks like the rivet that holds the chrome plastic rocker to the switch assembly.

If your talking about the headline switch I'd say you are rite:thumbsup:

Or the light dimmer switch thumb wheel? I think all of the other rocker switches are held on by small roll pins from what recall?

Thanks guys. I think we have a winner on the rocker switch for the headlights.
Never would have found that myself. You guys rock
