I got a 1973 dodge coronet and was just curious if there is any way to change the bulbs without dropping the steering column in the dash any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Just be skinny with long arms, thin fingers & have dexterity

Well that's a no go ghost Rider ha ha ha isn't nothing skinny about me

Hate to be stupid but what do you mean by as exposed

Ok thanks guys what about cigarette tar off the vinyl I guess it's nicotine seems like every time I clean the dash it as soon as the cleaner dries it has a brown film over it again like nicotine

Dropping the column and cluster aren't hard to do. I would suggest since you're replacing bulbs, go the extra mile and get yourself a set of LED bulbs and replace all the bulbs with them. They are much brighter and last longer.

One word of caution. When you have the cluster down, be careful of the climate control assembly. The plastic supports that hold it in place get very brittle over time and it doesn't take much pressure to cause them to snap.

Wow thanks so much for the help guys and I ll look into the led lights is there any certain place to get them and I know on some leds they get real hot so is that going to be an issue with the old plastic or any thing

Google search, do some research about them. List is long about companies selling them and what kinds/styles/etc. etc.

I just bought a set off ebay. I've never heard of LEDs getting hot, at least not with this application.
