Buyer Beware- Ws08

Hmmm...let me see...who do I know in Falls Church, VA that wears a green hat and face cammo to work. Ah yes, i'll call him and he and his pals might go see this *** hat.

Well I didn't set out to destroy anyone's rep, or business. I tried to be patient and repeatedly asked for some communication. When it came it was all a lie... I'm a big boy and can handle the truth, I even told them I understood things happen, life happens, emergencies come up and would be willing to work with them. All I got was lies and shady replys... 1st indication was when I asked who they were and they wouldn't reply....

I e-mailed the VA State Police and gave them all of the info. I asked them to please pay them a visit and see what the heck is up.

Sorry to hear Mike, but not surprising. Actually it is surprising he / they / she or whatever, are still able to walk the streets without fear or the use of crutches already. I typed Ply30 (Justin Figgat's previous handle) into the search bar on FABO and here is what comes up. Lots of reading. The "Figgat Gang" has been at this for a while.

I'll grant him that, of course. Still, the tone smacked of many a time during my own childhood when an adult would blindly chastise my young opinion(s) solely based on age, not merit.

The model railroading community seemed to be full of this; funny how many of the latest talented superdetailers are in their teens and twenties. That's karma for you.

Heck, I started doing eBay at the age of 10. If it weren't for the relative anonymity of the internet, I bet I wouldn't have had a single sale due to this stereotype that young people are less trustworthy by default. Granted, some communities breed exactly that, but it's not necessarily fair to pigeonhole everyone as a norm.

Not trying to start anything; just commenting on how the comment struck a nerve here.

Love it when forum members play hardball with this kind of filth.

Hang em.

They think the long arm of the law does not stretch across states or even locally.
And the sense of "community" is getting truly Global.

Glad to hear you got some resolution at last Mike. Hopefully someone else out there with a few more ounces of integrity can help you out with the parts you still need.

There's always that thief that claims items are shipped or the other that claims the item was stolen from their doorstep and demands their money back. :(

And then there are the local members of the community, who couldn't give a flying flapdoodle what the thief has to say for him or herself :elmer:
