My friend has a 69 charger. His left wing window part, the stainless piece that the window rides in has some very deep scratches. He wants to replace it. My dad has extra wing window parts from a 67 gtx. Will they interchange ? If not what others are the same ? Also I have ones from a 67 barracuda. Are they the same ?

No, not interchangeable.

I've taken them off a 4 door Belvidere and put them on a 2 Door R/T, both were the same year though. Make a cardboard template to see if they are the same shape

You sand the staimess to remove the scratches. Use what ever grit necessary and go progressively finer, 220,400,600,1000,1500,2000. Not hard, just time consuming. Only use the large grit in the scratch are and then feather it out. I did all my stainless.

Yea ive done that before to but it looks like someone took a grinder to it. Its pretty bad

I used Quick- glo Fine polish on my drip rail molding with a drill and a small cotton buffing wheel, did both sides in about an hour. the driver side rear looked like it had 180 grit sanding scratches and they polished out nicely. A member here recommended the product in a thread I read somewhere. Good stuff.

You may have to start with 600 800 then 1500 before you polish. Post a picture here so I can see if it's as bad as mine was. I went back to look at your picture and can't really see them and from what I can see mine were worse but Take a close up of the area and repost it.
