I took this 950 ProForm off my buddies 460 Mustang and put his new 850 DP on it that he wanted me to do. So he told me to take this 950 ProForm and try it on my 63 if I like. So I plan to go through it and put it on my 63 in place of my 850 DP and I hope to hit a test & Tune on Oct the 29th and try it out. Ron

I'll be curious to see how it works Ron, it's actually a smaller Venturi than your 850. 1.45 vs 1.56. I had a old 850 proform I built into a 1050 an. It has a 1.59 Venturi. Been playing with it on the rr. Runs pretty good so far. Had to lean out the cruise a bit.

What intake manifold is that?

Cool....knew the 6 was a decent intake but didn't know it was that good!

Yes I know but I figured since I have it why not give it a try. And if it works as good or better I will keep it on since it has many more adjustments then my 850 as the ProForm has air bleed jets and idle restriction jets and so on that my 850 does not have so I can fine tune this carb easier then my 850. If you want to go FAST... buy this brand new 1050 Dominator for your 500"+ stroker motor.
I am the world's biggest proponent for putting this Dominator on your big motor.
As you guys might remember my post from back in March....I ran at 10.98 on Friday at a Test and Tune with my Mighty Demon 850. Saturday morning I merely unbolted the 850, put a Transdapt 4150 to 4500 adapter on, then bolted the Out of the Box 80688 Dominator and next 4 runs were 10.613, 10.656,10.609 and 10.618.
If you want to go fast and have the hood clearance (for the 2" adapter) bolt that Dominator onto your 4150 Intake Manifold. (I run a Victor 440 4150 bolt pattern Single Plane Intake)

Wow Ron, you haven't changed anything on your car in years!
It will be interesting to see how it works out for you.

Biggest reason I'm trying it is

You always have the option to upgrade the main body on that one too, the rest of the part will work

I agree, however my car gets driven almost daily and has been kicked off the strip for lack of safety equipment. I think a 4150 carb is better suited for daily use. Now if it were a strip car that seen street a few times a year than my whole build would have been different.

Yea my buddy ran a TM6 on his 383 years ago and it worked very good. And of course the TM7 for the RB block works good also.

Kryslerkid you are right as I have not changed anything on my car since the first year it was together. I put the eng in the car in 2011 and it ran 10.76 that year. Its run 10.76 four more times over the last 5 years and I have not changed a thing.

Mike I wish I had room for a single plane and a Dominator to try but I dont and I dont have my hands on a Dominator either. Since I have this 950 Proform I figure why not give it a try ?

Ron....give us a report if u make it to the track with the 950......for a.long time YOUR CAR was my benchmark of my desired performance ... it is a great example of a stroker motor and what it will do...

Thanks for the kind words. I have not been able to make any changes to my car since I put this eng in as living on disability has made things a little tuff but at least I have been able to put gas in it and drive it on the street and have fun. I love racing and hope that some time I can get in a position to do a little more testing on my car. But at least I can still enjoy cruising around in a 10 second street car and have fun doing that for now. I tell ya if I get to the track I will be so happy to make a few passes again as its been almost 2 years since I have been to the track. Ron

I took great interest in the great results with a TM6. I ran a '70's vintage TM6 on one of my low deck 452's. Worked great with an old 850 DP. This looks like a newer version with more sweep to the runners. For a low height manifold it sure seems like a good piece. On my 500" 440 I replaced the Torker that came with the car with a Victor & big hood scoop. I presume there was some power gain. The big manifold still maintained great street performance.

hopefully i get a chance to take it out an put a pass on it before winter hits. its defiantly not a permanent fixture on the chicken, i'm just playing around a bit. i need to just leave the RR alone and get focused on my dart again. i started pulling the motor 2 months ago in the dart to freshen/change some things. Motor is still in the car... lol

With my TM6 I welded up the big bolt clearance notches on the outside of the the runners & ground the inside to straighten things out. That manifold worked really well.
