The (v) says it's a variable rate, how much does it vary? Like is the 3.50 rate only applicable up to the first 100 bucks, then it goes to 20.98 %? Or what?

Means that they can figure the 3.5 different on some months with more or less days in them.. Put it this way.. I did carry a balance, once in a while this year. My total interst fees have been $20.81 this YEAR..

I've had Chase cards in the past....twice to be exact. Won't make that mistake again. Last card I paid off the balance for the month and the bastards sent me ANOTHER bill for interest. WTH. Called and asked if that 5 bucks was going to generate more interest by the time the mail got to them and their answer was a resounding yes! Never had my credit score dinged until I started doing business with them.

Sorry for your luck Cranky... I've had that low int card from them since 1996...I'ts the only card I have besides a Business AmEx.. I even helped my oldest son get out of a heavy 17K @ 24% with that Chase card. They transferred his amount to that card, with a very small fee, And the Son paid me $800 per month until it was paid off. Never really did compute how many Thousands I saved him. All at 3.5%

Just as I thought it is forbalance transfer. I get zero percent for having perfect credit. When I u se my Amex i get 12.00 for regular spending.
Not so... 3.5% whatever I do with it..Except Cash Advances.. My business Amex pays me back 5% on Gasoline and Office Supplies and Cell Phone. I even had a 3% Mortgage on my Home...Before I paid it off last year...

Well its a very good interest rate for a unsecured credit line. my credit score is 800 and I have a slate card and banked with chase for over 30 years. I find them to be the safest bank in the US.

I have a couple of cards that I use regularly to accumulate airline miles - and keep the miles I have from my business days. But I always - I repeat always pay off the total bill every month. If I can't do that I don't spend the money. I have a half million more airline miles so it's worth it to me........

My master cards are through my credit union and have been for a long time but years back Chase sent me a 'come to us' application and well, they turned out to be a rpita and then I was dumb enough to give them another shot after getting away from them the first time.

I've had nothing but great luck with Chase
I have one for Business & one for personal, Platinum & Sapphire

I also have AmEX
all high limits, low interest too

I also pay off my cards monthly or bi-monthly at a min...
I will not wait till the last min to pay it either,
usually way before the due date, never a late payment,
"they love me"

I've really never had any real issues at all, NOT with Chase anyway & if I do,
I just call, talk to a mngr or supervisor, not some phone flunky !!
& they have straightened out stuff for my dad too {long story WF bs}...

I hated MasterCard & Discover, they were both rip off/conn jobs...
Rates would change regularly with no rime or reasoning...
Never ever again with either of them co.'s

I have near perfect credit & I own everything outright...

I use the cards out of convenience, pay them off immediately usually too...
Rarely ever any interest at all that way...
I get cash back on all of them too, more than covers any interest ever...

1st Interstate & Wells Fargo was extremely bad too way back when,
my dad has a WF Chase, his problems are because of WF "not Chase" thou...

Some people really should NOT have credit-cards,
obviously they can't handle the responsibilities,
if they can't keep up on their payment...

Personally I got rid of all my cards right after I retired. I know only deal with Navy Federal Credit Union and I have a small card for emergencies only or to secure a car rental or travel related. I never use them for any purchases and most of the time it is either Debit or cash. I will never get another credit card ever!!! If I cannot afford it then I wait till I have the cash in hand. Nothing better than pulling "C" notes off of a stack of them when purchasing/buying things. Places are totally confused when I do that and you can hear the Crickets when they have to make change or count it out. I even had a clerk call a Manager over one time because I was paying with cash and he actually asked me why I don't use a credit card???? :wtf::wtf::wtf:I stated I do not have one and they insisted I open a store card. I refused and the purchase never happened. Cash is King and will always be...JMHFO...cr8crshr/Tuck :usflag::usflag::usflag:

I have a policy that I will not pay interest on a credit card and if they insist the card is cut up
That last two times we missed the payment on time a phone call fixed it
My bank will now charge me a fee if I deposit cash in my company account so I do not my wife takes it
If you have a credit card pay it in full always then no interest

I have a credit card in my name and my daughters. Its a bank card. The reason we do this is not important but what happened was this. Last billing cycle i had (and these are example figures only) 1000 in charges. I paid 800 and had a 200 balance that i knew id pay 13% interest on. Ok so yesterday the next bill comes in. I charged nothing but my daughter charged 5000. Now the way we work it is she sends me funds immediately and i pay the card. What i notice is a 55 dollar interest. So i call the company get this woman who keeps putting me on hold for 15 minutes. I tell her i was lousy in math but 55 dollars interest on 200 for a month does not sound right. Well she tells me you paid interest on the 5 grand plus the 200 from the day of the 5 grand purchase which just so happened to be in the beginning of the billing cycle. In other words 13% on 5200.00 for 30 days.
Now how can that be i just got the bill,200dollars at 13% that i get. what this bank does is if you fail to pay off your entire balance then you not only get charged the 13% on that balance but you pay 13% on everything you charge in the next billing cycle from the day you charge it
So i tell her i dont recall reading or being told that so shut the account down. I know discover does not do this and i called my other card holder and the woman was very knowledgeable and she said they dont do this either. You pay interest only on your balance. Leave it to the banks to shove it to you.

Because your card does not offer a grace period on new purchases you should shop around and find one that does (most do). Good luck

All our cards are paid off in full. I have a personal card i use for my hobby car related purchases or supplies. I for the most part mail out payment within a couple of days of getting the bill. Credit rating is excellent. This bank card was a scam and im reading over the agreement again to see if i missed anything. Paying 13% on 200 dollars for a month was not a issue as the next month it would have been paid in full. Paying on that five grand figure from the day of purchase was a ripoff. Doesnt matter, the bill was paid in full the cards were cancelled and we'll look around for a better deal

Lol...who's got the best credit card.....or who has the best card that is still available with the same benefits currently......
