My younger son's friend and his Dad & brother invited us down to the local school for some fun this afternoon. Mark builds these himself from parts sourced and custom engineered for way less than the commercially built units. Lots of fun...I had a go, and they are really cool to throw around on the seal. Motor is in the front wheel - 1000W hub on the smaller trike, and 1600W on the larger. The rear go-kart tires spin free, and are over-sleeved with PVC tubing (drain pipe) to allow for the sliding. Heaps of fun.....with lots more to come now that Summer has arrived.

Very cool, could you imagine having one of those when you were a kid?

I can only wish....but at least my kids can enjoy the fun now.

They were called "green machines" and had left and right control sticks instead of handlebars.

Designed to spin out on purpose.

Competition for "big wheels".

Kind of unstable at high speed.

Those look like a blast...

Ever see the show 'toymakers" ?
they have a cool gas version too, different styles & tire sizes etc.

If I had some extra "throw away, cash laying around"
I'd love to waste it on 1 too...
I am a motion junky...
My ol'Pops saw the show & then asked me why or what purpose ?
I told him if you have to ask, you wouldn't ever understand...
