You could suffocate and die if she buried you in those monsters - yikes!

I'd like to mention momma duck died trying to hatch her eggs I guess she never left her nest and stopped eating and drinking ! She passed away a week ago we wanted to hatch the eggs for her she worked hard this is our first time hatching eggs so far were 3 for 3 and there's 3 more ones almost out the others are still moving so there still working inside so no casualties yet it's a 1/3 success rate on a first time mother witch she would of been so we're doing good so far I'll post an update in the morning hopefully they all make it !
We learned to search for the nest, ours are free range, and leave little dishes of food and snacks, plus water for them. They only leave the nest for 45 minutes or so and if they don't have a feeder readily available they wont eat much. Another way is to wait until dark and slip the eggs under a broody hen. They will hatch and raise the ducks till about 10 weeks or so. Our last batch hatched 12 ducklings and we sold 10 of them. One year we searched the entire farm for her nest and ended up finding her parked under the living room window behind a bush in the flower bed. I had passed through there and looked right at that spot twice without seeing her, her feathers blended so perfectly with the dried leaves and dirt, she's a mallard duck, I almost missed her that time too but she hissed at me.
