I suspect that those are post-war built Spanish versions of the 109. The Germans used the inverted Daimler V-12 while these look like the upright Hispano-Suisa engines. Possibly some of the planes used in the Battle Of Britain movie, hence the paint jobs?

Turns out I was partly right, but wrong about the engines. They are Merlins. The planes are in Texas.having a provenance like that would make me want to take them home even more
