Well, when you go for several years without having a hurricane, you have to do something lol. Using lineman spikes made 2 of them bleed pretty bad and that one had a huge wasp nest in it so we killed two birds with one bullet. A few years later (the fire trim was around 76) a hard freeze killed two of the 3 so ended up cutting them all down. Good riddance too....hated the bastards.Aren't hurricanes nature's way of trimming palm trees?
You've got palm trees, we've got chinese elm trees. The emerald ask borers have killed all the ash trees around here, a good hardwood. To bad they weren't emerald elm borers.Well, when you go for several years without having a hurricane, you have to do something lol. Had palm trees lol....cut them all down a few years later then sold the house a few years after that. Used to have several arizona ash trees at my new place but all but a few of those are gone. They grow pretty fast but once they hit 30 or so, they start going down hill and start looking sickly. Insects getting in maybe? Most of the trees here now are live oak and water oak with one pine and one fig tree. I would like to cut down the pine but it's right up next to the fence and the guy with the dogs next door can deal with the pine cones. If he wants to trim off the branches that overhangs the fence, it'll make it easier for me to cut it on down and drop it on my side.....You've got palm trees, we've got chinese elm trees.
